I remember when I was working on my dissertation and when the New Year came around, I wondered, "would this be the year I would finally complete my Doctorate?" Are you pondering the same question?

I realized that after many years and countless revisions, that getting a doctorate is really about determination. I was determined to stick with it regardless of what obstacles I had to overcome. The more obstacles presented themselves, the more determined I became.

I am now thankful for the opportunity to share my experience with the doctoral candidates I work with to help them to feel a sense of hope when they are at their wits end. Remember these famous words,
