NVivo Stores Data in One Place Making it Easier to Code, Query, and Retrieve

I have trained students, faculty, and researchers in nonprofits, government, and business on how to use NVivo to analyze their data for almost 16 years. During this time, I have trained several thousand researchers. One of the main benefits of using NVivo to analyze data is the capability to store all of your data and codes in one place. Historically, qualitative researchers used post-it notes and highlighters to code their data. When they wanted to write on a specific topic, they would have to layout pages of transcripts all over their floor and search for the matching colors in order to identify the text that corresponded to the color. In NVivo, you highlight the text and assign the codes to it. Later, with one click you can retrieve the code (e.g. node) and the corresponding text. I am glad that we now have NVivo to expedite the coding process.
